The designs in these concept videos are free from real-world constraints — technical, logical, fiscal. Dealing with constraints is what real design is all about.So well-put. Most of the time Apple isn’t the first company to come up with a clever idea, but they’re often the first to make a successful product that introduces the idea to everyone.
There is no such thing as no compromises. An unwillingness to compromise on functionality results in a greater compromise in user experience.
This is a great read. Even if I don’t always agree with their UX decisions, the data, detailed analysis and thought process are fascinating. Highly recommended.
